A family farm, finding its next chapter.
Our Story
Before Handyland was somewhere to visit, it was somewhere people worked.
This ground has carried dairy cows, tobacco, cattle, hay and the ordinary work of keeping a family farm going. Long before there were cabin listings or guest reviews, there were fences to mend, fields to cut and seasons that decided what came next.
The next chapter did not begin by trying to turn the farm into a resort. It began by realizing that the space, quiet and landscape our family had always known were exactly what other people were driving away from town to find.
The land kept changing jobs
Working farm
Dairy, tobacco and cattle shaped the daily rhythm of the property for generations.
2004–2018
As the tobacco era ended, hay kept the fields working and the farm moving through another chapter.
2020
The cabins began welcoming guests — not as an escape from the farm, but as a way to let people experience it.
Today
Handyland is growing beyond overnight stays. The land itself — trails, water, privacy, sunset and room — is becoming the experience.

What stays the same
The land still comes first.
New ways to visit should make the farm easier to experience without making it feel less like a farm. That means protecting the quiet, keeping use low-density and letting the landscape remain bigger than anything we build on it.
Handyland can keep changing without losing the thing that made the next chapter possible: a real piece of Kentucky that still feels like itself.
